Proper evaluation of a company should start with its leader/owner.
I met Arthur Passafiume on an FDC project the summer of 1998. In the five years I have worked with him,
he has proven there are very few men in his category of ethics, morality and work ethic.
He will honestly tell you what can and cannot be done, back up his word
and hold himself to a higher standard than a General Contractor would ever place upon him.

Regarding the organization he has built at PCI, in December, 2000, FDC elected to begin the process
of awarding a "Subcontractor of the Year" award., each year to one firm.
A General Contractor is only as good as the subcontractors who work for them.
The criteria were obviously such items as performance, cooperation, safety and adhering to the project schedule.
And several contractors were in the race.
The tiebreakers were ethics, trust and respect for FDC as well as the fellow subcontractors.

PCI won our first annual award and we remain proud of the selection.
They did not know of the above award nor selection criteria
when they completed several successful projects for us.
It is simply the way they do business.
Bear in mind, this selection was not made by the FDC officers or myself.
Each Project Manager and Superintendent nominated their choice,
the field was narrowed and each FDC employee voted in the run-off.

Therefore, my guys, in the rank and file, would rather work with PCI than any other subcontractor
- all trades included. Although I fully agree with their choice,
they probably speak better to PCI's commitment to schedule and field performance than anything I could say.
Their performance since the award has maintained the same, if not higher,
level of commitment to quality, safety and coordination with the project team.

Truthfully, I am pleased to recommend PCI for any project.
It is the very least I can do for the outstanding performance
they have given FDC on so many projects over the past five years.
